Benefits of joining

Are you aware of the many amazing benefits of joining a club? Kiwanis gives us the opportunity to build new friendships, explore our personal interests, create excitement in our lives, develop skills and knowledge valuable for life.

Positive mentor relationship – Children, especially teenagers, benefit from an adult mentor. Studies have shown that these adult mentors can keep vulnerable children away from habits like drugs, alcohol, etc. These Kiwanis mentors can be a great influence on children.

Social activities – Kiwanis offers the chance for regular activity. We can get very lethargic at times, especially in winter. Kiwanis arrange several events that members can choose what to participate in or lead.

Network opportunities – Kiwanis clubs and the UK Board regularly run events and fundraisers. These are great opportunities to introduce yourself to new people and mingle with businesses. Being part of a service organisation like Kiwanis means you will get to create some amazing memories as well as boosting your social life. 

Make new friends – You can make a lot of new friends, so if your social circle has shrunk, or you have just relocated, join us.

Have some fun – Each Kiwanis clubs are filled with friendly members with like-minded interests and passions.

Explore new things – Members in clubs learn new things that they might not have access to studying or working. Clubs offer a wide variety of activities and event that will help your leadership development in different skill set.

Opportunities to travel – Joining Kiwanis may bring about opportunities to travel, whether it is abroad or across the UK. You might even get to visit places you have never been to before!

Share your expertise – This membership helps those who would like to share their skills and expertise within the third sector organisation as highly skilled individuals can create a life-changing experience for people in need, volunteers and for you as well as supporting the community.
